KR&EC has extensive experience with navigating all phases of the permitting process for State or private projects under the California Environmental Quality Act (CEQA) and federal projects under the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA). We can assist with pre-project planning to avoid and minimize potential issues, assess potential impacts and identify mitigation, respond to public comments, and develop mitigation monitoring plans.
KR&EC has extensive experience with authoring the biological sections of environmental impact reports (EIR), mitigated negative declarations (MND), initial studies (IS), mitigation and monitoring plans (MMP), and responding to public comments. KR&EC can also develop stand alone biological reports to be included in the environmental document.
With projects that have a federal nexus, KR&EC can author a biological assessment (BA) for submital to USFWS and/or NMFS. Additionally, we can assist with the biological portion of an environmental assessment (EA).
