We are experienced with restoring, delineating, mapping, and sampling wetlands in California. We have worked with Coastal Zone and non-Coastal Zone wetlands including vernal pools, freshwater marshes, riparian streams, and tidal marshes. Additionally, we have worked with alkali salt flats, desert washes, and managed created wetlands.
We are trained to delineate and map waters of the U.S. and federal wetlands according to the Regional Supplement to the Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual: Arid West Region (Version 2.0). We are also skilled at identifying state wetland jurisdictions and delineating wetlands based on the California Coastal Commission, California Department of Fish and Wildlife, and Regional Water Quality Control Board definitions.
Streambed Alteration Agreement Permitting
California Department of Fish and Wildlife Streambed Alteration Agreements (SAA) are required anytime the "bed and/or bank" of a water course will be disturbed. We can prepare a SAA application for a single action such as installing a culvert or for routine maintenance activities such as vegetation clearing at a stream crossing.
